staring at a single dent on the wall
as i typically do before sleep
and i realize that the dent hadn't been there at all
and the sleep had made the dent reappear

during this period of inactivity
i say "what could this be?"
to myself, while my friend who does not exist
was staring quite intently

seen many a kitchen in my time

and sometimes i wonder if the kitchen door is outdated
or if it's underrated...

as i ran from my house to the outside
i slammed my face against the door
as i fell onto the ground, i thought to myself
"the door had not been there before"
